Green Cay Nature Center (opens in a new tab)
Green Cay Nature Center is an inland Palm Beach County nature stop in the Boynton Beach area, known for elevated boardwalks through constructed wetlands and a nature center with educational exhibits. It is the usual shade and birds instead of sand answer when visitors want a break from the Atlantic strip.
We are an independent guide. Hours, boardwalk status, and restricted activities are set by Palm Beach County Parks. Confirm before you drive west. County materials commonly list the site at 12800 Hagen Ranch Road, Boynton Beach, with roughly 1.5 miles of elevated boardwalk through about 100 acres of constructed wetland, plus interpretive signs.
For a larger wetland preserve farther into the system, see Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge.

Think interpretive boardwalk more than rugged trail. Loxahatchee offers a larger refuge format with levees and longer options.
